HOW LONG IS IT?
3 hour session
This is a regular Wednesday evening session 6pm - 9pm. Each week we explore a technique or joint and then practise it. Attendees can follow the session or just concentrate on their own work. The idea is to hone hand tool skills - the traditional but no less important cutting of joints using marking gauges, saws and chisels. The only theme is that the machines are off. Quiet time. Though there could well be music.
In our beautiful double-height, purpose-built workshop in Dartington Forest. Map and parking details will be sent to you once you’ve booked.
The course fee covers tuition, tools, materials, the use of PPE (personal protective equipment) in various sizes, teas, coffee and dairy-free milk.
Water bottle. Notepad and pen. Questions. Enthusiasm! You may bring your own tools although we reserve the right to prevent you from using them during the course if we deem them inappropriate.
Create a bespoke picture frame that will last for generations and simultaneously receive a practical introduction to the versatility of the table saw. What’s not to love?
