Is this the right course for me?

Ever marvelled at the accuracy of joinery and thought it was out of your grasp? Or perhaps you’ve wondered how to produce unique shapes with a crisp neat finish and be able to repeat them. Or maybe you are embarking on a domestic project and need a bit of handy know-how. Or just wanting to boost your DIY skills to take on a much broader range of projects. Well let us introduce you to the joys of routing!

The hand held router is the most versatile wood-processing machine in the modern workshop. It has revolutionised the speed, repeatability, efficiency and accuracy of shaping solid wood and sheet material. This hands-on 2 day course aims to bamboozle you with the sheer range and potential of router use. 2 days of noise and knowledge with a nifty set of shelves to come away with.

Course details

Assessing the functions and applications of different routers and router bits. Setting and executing a series of router-based tasks. Making, attaching and using a router table. Creating a shelving unit largely using routers.

In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they’re still beautiful.
