Deforestation happens one tree at a time. When it’s our responsibility to fell a tree, we do It based on the highest of eco-forestry principles.
We aim to source timber from our own 12 acre woodland, or from South England, or not at all. We believe that we should only use timber that the woods can afford to spare, so we’ve developed our own ‘Worst First’ approach to timber selection which means using trees that are old or sick, rather than thriving species.
The goal is beautiful workmanship made with ecologically forested South-Devon timber. When you look for what wood wants, it shows you. Everything we make is produced by doing this.
